What can I say, man, what can I say? Huge, huge win for Florida last night over the Vols. That 37-20 victory may go down in history as the moment when Will Muschamp unquestionably announced to all of Gator Nation -- I am the Head-Gator-In-Charge, dammit !!!
I've heard and read far too much foolishness from Gator fans about this man and the job he's doing. After last night, I don't expect that to continue from anyone other than contrarians. And hell, contrarians have their place I suppose.
Yesterday was a bit busy and a bit different. Three University of Florida coeds came to town for a change of pace, take in a FAMU football game, talk about their future dreams, etc. Here are the lovely ladies:
On the left, Chelsea from Miami is in Animal Science and wants to be a vet. Kyra from Jacksonville is in Telecommunications and wants to be a lawyer. And on the right, Brittney from Fort Lauderdale is in Pharmacy and expects that to be her career choice.
They were great to meet, and lots of fun. We had a somewhat funny incident at Miller Ale House while the FSU vs Wake Forest game was going on. Our waiter, a good natured Nole from down in Wellington, accidentally spilled water all over our table. I told the ladies that Gator women have that kind of effect on Noles. Freak 'em all out. Antonio was apologetic as hell, and agreed to pose for a quick photo to memorialize the moment:
From there, they went on their way and I settled in for the enjoyment of a college football Saturday. Needless to say, with that great Gator victory last night over the Vols, I thoroughly enjoyed the day. I had an extra reason to love that victory, however. On the single most important play of the game (the Trey Burton run that completely changed momentum and broke the spirit of the Vols) national TV caught a shot of my nephew (I've given him the handle of SuperDuperParatrooper) in the stands celebrating the TD amidst a sea of Vols:
Yeah, man. A sweet, sweet victory for the Mighty Gators!
