I'm biased, of course, but the folks at Pajamas Media have put together a very good website that consistently offers thought-provoking material for discerning readers. Here are a few examples on the front page today:
· Chairman Hugo's Little Red Constitution
Hugo Chavez announced changes to his country's constitution which, if ratified in a December "referendum," will solidify his already nearly-complete dictatorship. As PJM's Venezuelan correspondent - who remains anonymous for safety reasons — explains, the devil is in the details.
There's also this:
· A Sporting Chance: Star Spangled Open
Forget about prim white outfits, polite crowds, and strawberries and cream — the U.S. Open is the rock concert of Grand Slam tennis events. PJM's Rick Moran revels in the all-American drama, color, style and action on display at Flushing Meadows.
And, for example, a third interesting article:
· Welcome To the Age of Psychopathy
Do you sometimes think that world leaders are simply crazy? PJM's expert on the twisted mind, who goes by the pen name "Sigmund, Carl, and Alfred" says that psychopathic is a more accurate term. "A political agenda that embraces hate and racism and then projects that evil onto others, demonizing and dehumanizing them, is a psycho-pathological political agenda."
Very impressive, if I say so myself. And you already know that I do like to say so myself.
