In a year when my Mighty Gators were crippled (losing one-third of our top players, including our best player on offense and on defense), this was a season for me where I resolved to enjoy the athletic competitions offered by college football.
Yesterday, I was rewarded with the best game I've ever seen. Not simply football. Any kind of game. It was that good, that historic.
The Auburn-Alabama game exceeded my expectations BEFORE the crazy finish but let me tell you, that field goal miss and 109-yard runback on the final play by Chris Davis sealed the deal.
Greatest Game I've Ever Seen.
This column from Kevin Scarbinsky is good, this game story is equally good, but I really like the article before the game written by Brandon Marcello on Paul Finebaum. It includes a video interview of Paul that I think is worthy of your time.
His show on Monday should be crazy and I'm going to do my best to figure out a way to listen to it. His podcasts are available here, and his show replays are available here.
